While Kadhja Bonet’s summer album Childqueen is a pretty magical listen, I’m finding the outtakes EP – three tracks that didn’t fit on the album but she said deserved a life of their own – to be a more addictive listen.
The melody and honey of her voice, and the warm, dreamy instrumentation (shoutout to the percussion bits especially) in this song are like showing receipts for why her music has been called spellbinding. It’s simply enchanting.
